Newport Mall, Pasay City

Newport Mall was the latest addition to the Newport City in Pasay City. It was not that visible from the outside since it is located inside the Resorts World building. It has a separate entrance from the indoor parking lot avoiding the casino proper although both buildings have access to each other.

This was the main entrance of the Resorts World, going straight would lead you to the casino, turning left would lead you to Maxims Hotel and Marriott Hotel. Turning right would lead you to the Newport Mall. Entering the casino would require you to be 21 years old, free memberships are offered here for you to play. Bringing in food and beverages are not allowed except water. Cameras and other gadgets are not allowed but you could left it at the reception area.

It was my third time entering the casino and the security here never failed to ask for my age. It felt good since I would rather take it as a compliment since I really look younger.

There are two restaurants on the ground floor of the casino, the Mercado, which is a buffet type that offers breakfast as early as 6am up to supper as late as 3am. The other one is Noodle Works, which is open 24 hours and offers different kinds of cuisines in Asia.

There are four cinemas in Newport Mall, Cinema 1 offers an unlimited popcorn and soda with the comfort of a lazy boy for Php 500. Cinema 2 and 4 offers a 3D compatible ambiance for Php 200 while Cinema 3 offers 3D sounds too for Php 300.

Luxurious branded items are for grabs here unless prefer branded items, this place could be a haven for you. But you could also do window shopping here, where your eyes could drool over the window displays of expensive stuffs.

This is Cafe Au Lait, a lounge type cafe at the left side lobby of Maxims Hotel. A link going to Marriott Hotel could also be found here.

This is a familiar statue for me since it was the same statue from the Resorts World in Singapore, the only difference is their position.

This is the Newport Mall proper, which was patterned from a piazza in Italy topped with a glass skyline. It is surrounded with different themed restaurants including a disco bar and two coffee shops. Branded shops are continued at the third floor from the ground floor. Bench was the only local brand available here.

The Performing Arts Theater is also located at the third floor, where KAOS is currently having a show until June 2011. The cheapest ticket is available for Php 988 at the ground floor.

Cinemas are located at the fourth floor as well as other restaurants and a branch of McDonald's.

This is a place where luxury shopping, dining, playing, clubbing and movie-watching meets in one space. The Newport Mall is open from 10am to 11pm or until 11:30pm on weekends. c",)
