Singapore: Resorts World

Resorts World Singapore is located at Sentosa island and you may come across it before reaching the Universal Studios and it is the first stop of the sky train, which is the Waterfront Station. There's still construction going on when we came here. Even the 'R' of the Resorts World sign was not yet in place.

Here are some of the luxurious stores you could browse into but this was only the stores from the outside the Festive Walk. In the morning it looks like a park. However, this place comes to life during night time. The Festive Walk strip is open 24/7!

The pyramid-like structure is the Lake of Dreams, its a huge fountain with water cannons, flaming dragon and laser effects.

You'll appreciate the Lake of Dreams more at night! If you want to see the whole Lake of Dreams, you may go up The Forum.

It is not an indoor walk-in mall rather an open high ceiling one so that fresh air could flow and shoppers could still stroll during a sunny or rainy day. This is the way to The Forum, where dining is at its best and could lead you to the Resorts World Convention Centre, The Coliseum, The Festive Grand Theatre and The Compass Ballroom.

There are 5 hotels here in Resorts World, the first one was the Hotel Michael, which is an art-themed hotel and the expertise of the great contemporary American architect, Michael Graves, design it. Next was the Festive Hotel, which is great for huge families and it has a resort vacation type atmosphere. The third was the Hard Rock Hotel. If you want to live and feel what a rockstar's life and living conditions are, this one is exactly for you. The fourth one is the Crockfords Tower, which is a by invitation only all-suite hotel for hardcore casino gamers They don't have rooms but only suites, mansions and villa. The last hotel was the Equarius Hotel, which has a jungle-themed environment filled with trees, pools and slides and is set to open in 2011.

This is The Galleria, where famous expensive famous brands are on display and on sale.

Brands include Bally, Bulgari, Canali, Chanel Watches, Chopard, Coach, Damiani, Dunhill, Eye-Spy, Jimmy Choo, Omega, Ralph Lauren, Rolex, Shanghai Tang, Swarovski, Swiss Watch Gallery, Tag Heuer, Tumi, Versace, Victoria's Secret and VIE Beaute.

And what is a Resorts World without its casino. The casino is located at the basement where parking lot and taxi bays are located too. They impose a dress code for everyone, strictly no wearing of singlets, shorts and slippers, even the branded slippers are not acceptable. This is to preserve the ambiance and comfort of the guests. Foreigners could enter by showing their passports at the entrance.

In front of the Casino was the other level of The Forum, dining facilities are also found here. The Marin Life Park, Maritime Xperiential Museum, Crane Dance and Spa Villas is expected to be finished by 2011.

There's so much more to see here if everything was already up and open to the public. You may just want to feed your eyes to its beauty and not spend more. However, you should prepare your feet and legs because they might surrender to this spacious underground place.

Wondering how everything was fitted into one place and seems that there are still spaces for people to roam around? It is because like everything in Singapore, even though it was only a small island they place things around here underground rather than going up. So earthquakes must not come here or else, everything you'll see might collapse. c",)
