Marriott Hotel, Pasay City

Marriott Hotel Manila was the latest addition to the 5 star hotels in Manila and was just opened in October 2009. It is located at the Newport City in Pasay City, just infront of NAIA Terminal 3. Maybe you are wondering why am I here? It is because my father's Christmas party was held here and decided to check out the place while waiting for him.

A mini rotunda in front of the hotel was decorated with fountains. A separate entrance was placed for the Grand Ballroom and the main entrance of the hotel. Strict security checks are also monitored here, X-ray machines are located in every entrance. If you are going to visit a friend or family here be sure to park outside the vicinity and not within the hotel because they charge Php 120 for the first 2 hours compared to the Php 40 parking infront of the hotel.

The hotel lobby was spacious but was not empty like other hotels. It was filled with comfy chairs and sofas in different styles. Plasma TVs are also placed on walls.

For this season, they have this Christmas tree, which you could donate Php 200 and have your name placed in a Christmas ball ornament. All proceeds are for Habitat for Humanity, which makes homes for the homeless.

One of the 4 restaurants here in Marriott was the Cru Steakhouse, which is only open for dinner. The Lounge is located at the hotel's lobby, which offers breakfast, lunch and dinner.

You could dine-in on one of its private rooms if you want some privacy or from the tables which are secluded from the public's view.

At the back of the Marriott Hotel was the Villamor Golf Course, where you could also dine-out for the ambiance and outdoor feeling.

There's nothing much to do here unless you are going to stay or just dine here. Since this hotel is under the vicinity of Newport City, it is linked to the Resorts World Casino and the Newport Mall. c",)
