Banapple, Ayala Triangle Gardens

I was really craving for something sweet and never tried something from Banapple. They only have 3 branches in the metro so its hard to buy and try their desserts right away. Fortunately, they had opened their new branch at the Ayala Triangle Gardens, which would now cater people from the south of Manila and the office workers within the vicinity.

I don't know that they serve other dishes too like rice meals and pasta besides desserts. Since my friend and I was already full from having our dinner at Ristras, and the store was about to close because it was almost 10pm when we arrived, we only had cakes and pies to try. It took us 5 minutes to decide which is which and my friend ended up ordering 2 desserts.

Here's what my friend ordered, Banapple's best-seller, the Banoffee Pie (Php 85). From the word itself, it is made from banana and coffee. The banana on this pie was in chunks maybe to give emphasis that they are using real banana instead of using artificial flavoring but other than that of course the banana compliments with the taste of the coffee like it compliments with chocolate.

His second order was the Blueberry Cheesecake (Php 90), it's not too sweet nor not too bland, hence you could taste the cheese in it and the toppings of the blueberry was not scarce. My friend wasn't able to finish this one because he was already full and just had the left over bagged out.

Here's what I tried, the Gobblin' Goblin's Pie (Php 100), I didn't know that this was Banapple's season cake for Halloween but I had a hint of it because of its orange and dark chocolate color. It was made from Snickers and Maltesers but I can't find the hint of Maltesers on it maybe because it was crushed together with the Snickers. I like the base crumbs because it tasted like crushed cookies or maybe it was indeed a crushed cookie. This was sweet and fulfilled my cravings!

Pastries like cookies, muffins, pies and specialty breads also caught my eye but I didn't buy anything to try, maybe next time. c",)
