Charlie's Grind & Grill

It was Sunday and I was craving for a food trip and blame it all to the show Man vs Food, three of my friends including me were also on a hunt for a night out just to chill and relax. We were just supposed to BF Homes in ParaƱaque since there were a lot of food choices there but suddenly I remember we were craving for a milk tea and was targeting Serenitea. But for a change, we agreed to go to Uncle Moe's in Ortigas.

Along EDSA, a sudden turn of event happened since one of my friends was the one navigating to where we would go. I was bragging about Happy Lemon since there are only two branches available in Metro Manila but the one navigating insisted for us to go to Charlie's along Ortigas Avenue. You'll see an ornament lit tree outside and the building looks like this.

We never knew that it was a burger joint and was a bit disappointed at first because the three of us were expecting a cheaper and more choices of food, especially with rice since we didn't had our dinner yet. However, we were already here and decided to give it a shot since the place was packed with people.

I only ordered Black Angus (Php 195), which is a home-made burger patty with cheese, lettuce, onions and tomato. Boom! Suddenly, my disappointment was gone because the burger was really awesomely juicy and tasty.

You may also order a Black Angus with Fries (Php 225). The fries too were like home-made because of its thickness, even the skin were present. Condiments were available for a dip like the Americana, Russian, Horsey, Ketchup and Dijon Mustard. The Horsey was my condiment of choice because of its wasabi taste.

You may also order your fries separately. They have a board long list of specialty fries and my friend chose to try this, Truffle Fries (Php 185). He thought that the black toppings were the truffles but he didn't see that the only truffle in his fries was the truffle oil and salt. The black toppings was chicken liver but it didn't tasted like chicken liver. Nice trick!

I though that the Black Angus was only my order that night but from the other table, the smell of Buffalo Wings was tempting me to try it so the ending was this. The Buffalo Wings (Php 185; half dozen) really smells great and it comes with vegetables sticks and a blue cheese dip. I was missing rice at this moment!

I also got a Charlie's Slider (Php 105; 1pc), which is a smaller version of Black Angus minus the lettuce. It is also available for 3pcs for Php 225. I was really hungry!

You may also order an iced tea for Php 65 or you could also try some international beers like Corona, Ipa or Gordon to name a few. Wines will also be available soon.

Some of the foods they offer includes sandwiches, cheese steaks and desserts. Great food!

Charlie's Grind & Grill is located at the Ronac Art Center although they also had another branch at San Rafael Street, near West Capitol Drive along Shaw Boulevard in Pasig City. c",)
