Uncle Moe's Shawarma Hub, Ortigas

One of my friends drag us here to try this shawarma hub. He said that it was cheaper than the other Persian restaurant offering almost same kind of dish. The place was not that spacious but comfy enough for chilling with friends.

Here is their menu, the names are not usual but it seems that it was interesting enough to try those unfamiliar food names. We thought that one serving is big already but to our dismay it was not. The prices are a little bit pricey for the servings they had. But everything was changed after the experience.

Moussaka Melt (PhP 140)

This is the Moussake Melt, I just got intrigued by this because it was shown in one of Star Cinema's movies and wondering what it tastes like. See the serving was not that appetizing but when I tasted it, it was marvelous. I had never tasted anything like that before, even though it was only made mainly by eggplant and tomatoes. A must-try!

Kebab Platter (PhP 160)

I was dead hungry that time because I didn't had my dinner yet. So I tried to have a dish with rice although you may opt to replace the rice with pita bread. The Kebab Platter is a combination of beef and chicken kebab served in "buttered" rice and salsa. The rice was not even buttered, the butter was just placed as a topping to the rice. The beef was soft to chew and tender to swallow. The chicken was also scrumptious in every bite. Even the salsa complements well to the dish and it will make you craving for more rice!

They dishes are pricey because of the taste which is like a very good comfort food and something unusual. c",)
