Happy Lemon

We were already in the Greenhills area after eating at Charlie's Grind & Grill so we took a chance if the Happy Lemon in Promenade was still open since it was Sunday night and the usual operating hours of merchants were 10am to 10pm only but fortunately they are still open until the wee hours of the night even on Sundays.

When we went inside there's a long queue and there's no vacant tables for new customers yet so we still had more time to think of what we are going to try since everyone of us was a newbie for this drink.

We all wanted to try the not so usual milk tea but half of us opted to be safe and ordered the milk teas. They had a wide range of beverages like the Lemon Series, Mousse Spin, Rock Salt Cheese, Fresh Tea, Milk Tea, Cocoa & Coffee, Blueberry Series and Specialty Drinks. I was eyeing for the Rock Salt Cheese.

Like Chatime, their numbering system was like this, which lights up and vibrates, although Happy Lemon was the first one who used this kind of innovation.

One of us tried this, Milk Tea with Oreo Cookies & Cream (Php 90; reg, Php 100; large). He was supposed to try Lemon Yogurt with Aloe but it was not available at the moment. It's only the usual Milk Tea flavor with just crushed Oreo added but if you're a fan of cookies and cream, you'll still love this!

I tried the most talked of the town and one of Happy Lemon's recommended drink, the Green Tea with Rock Salt and Cheese. I was told by the staff to drink it without a straw so that you could experience the blending of green tea, cheese and rock salt in your mouth. It was like heaven and fell in love with it! The tea tasted like 'Sampaguita' according to my friend.

Another friend also wants to try the Rock Salt Cheese so he ordered the Cocoa with Rock Salt and Cheese. The cocoa was deliciously sweet indeed! It was like sipping your childhood chocolate milk drink but this one is better.

There are only 3 flavors from the Rock Salt Cheese series. The other one is the Coffee with Rock Salt & Cheese.

Another usual safe drink was the Milk Tea with Pearl Sago and Puff Cream (Php 85; reg, Php 95; large, Php 95, hot). This was just a usual milk tea with pearl plus the cream puff.

Everyone of us was delighted that we had tried Happy Lemon and as its slogan says 'world's yummy drinks' and the word 'happy' on its name were consistent with their drinks! It really made us happy that night and we were craving for more, its just the matter of control. Until next time Happy Lemon! I wish they could open more branches in the south.

By the way, they are opening their third branch at Rockwell, Makati this August 2011!
