Gumbo, SM Mall of Asia

Gumbo literally means a stew or soup which is popular across the US and was originated from New Orleans. Here in the Philippines, it is a restaurant which specializes of course what else but Gumbo but there are also other dishes which is unusual to hear and read the name but once you have seen it, its just a typical ones.

Because of its interiors and a dimmed like lighting, you will be persuaded to try this restaurant. We are also given a free meal card during their promotion. The place was like the setting of Italianni's but of course with an American setting.

We ordered Carbonara good for sharing which is I think worth PHP 400 to PHP 600. Indeed, they have big servings. Be sure to order this just enough for the number of people or else you will be ending like you are being fed up.

I can't remember what this is but they have this platters which is good for four to six persons. The one we ordered inlcudes fish and chips, grilled chicken, buffaloed chicken and java rice. This costs around PHP 600 to PHP 800.

This is the Fish and Chips which is the free one from their promotional card.

Don't be surprise if the chefs and the staffs are shouting because it is their style to promote the dishes they serve. Its like you are in the Spongebob Squarepants The Movie. And if happened that you are celebrating your birthday, they will sing for you like what TGIF, Italianni's and Brazil! Brazil! do but this time you'll have the opportunity to blow your candle in an ice cream and you can have it for free. c",)
