Pen Pals, Manila Peninsula

I've heard this big dessert that the Manila Peninsula is serving and really they say that it is good for 6 to 8 persons but who cares if there are only three (3) of us who would like to try and check it out. These happened before Christmas and we are thinking of treating ourselves with a simple dessert we are craving for months.

When we entered the lobby we don't know where it is served, is it in the lobby? in Nielsen's? in Spices? or anywhere else within the vicinity of the hotel. We asked the butler where their famous desserts are served and he said that it is served right there in The Lobby of the hotel. So we settled down and find a perfect and comfortable spot and of course we have chosen the couch.

The menu was given to us and we are eager to find this big dessert. There were so many other desserts that they offer but we insist on this big one, which is really out intention anyway. We've waited for at least 3 to 5 minutes and the utensils were already prepared.

Pen Pals (Php 995)

And there it is. I think there are sixteen (16) scoops of different flavored ice creams, two (2) scoops of sherbet, eight (8) pieces of chocolate wafer sticks, slices of fruits, some marshmallows, some whipped cream and topped with cherries. It is so big and we are hesitant that we could finish it all by ourselves.

We all enjoyed every minute of munching this delicious dessert up to the last drop and here's the proof. c",)

Try it guys! It is good for 6 to 8 people as stated in their menu, but if your a sweet tooth like us, it is all worth trying. The Lobby is open 24 hours a day.
