Focaccia - A Slice of Italy, Makati

Me, Meds and Karlo was planning to try something new for dinner and we've all agreed to meet at the A. Venue because there are so many new food hubs to try there besides making it a new venue for some events.

Meds wants to try this Italian restaurant called Focaccia so we ended up dining there. The place was so inviting because of their interiors, specifically their accent wall.

We ordered Mozzarella Sticks for our appetizer, Cannelloni in Bechamel Sauce for out pasta and Slice of Italy for our Pazzo Rollio, which looks like a pizza. We also ordered Red Iced Tea for our drinks.

Mozzarella Sticks (Php 150)

This appetizer has six (6) sticks of deep fried mozzarella dipped in egg batter and served with their own amatriciana sauce. The combination of these two is great because the sauce complements the flavor of the mozzarella.

Cannelloni in Bechamel Sauce (Php 240)

The pasta has tender cannelloni shells filled with beef and spinach baked in bechamel sauce. You'll like the taste of spinach in this!

Pazzo Rollio - Slice of Italy (Php 380)

The Slice of Italy we ordered was composed of caramelized onions, ham, bacon, salami, mushrooms and cheese sauce. at first, I thought that it is cool that this pizza-like stuff was sliced this way but I was shocked that it should be eaten in a different way. This Pazzo is great because it was made in a thin crust which is easier to eat and roll. Yummy!

Arugula and Alfalfa Sprouts

Each Pazzo Rollio you ordered comes with some leaves of arugula and some alfalfa sprouts.

There is a way of eating this. You have to get some arugula and alfalfa sprouts and put it in one slice of your Pazzo Rollio, roll it then eat it. This seems like it is an added ingredient to the Pazzo Rollio making it not just meaty and falvorful but veggy and healthy too.
