Greenbelt 5: California Pizza Kitchen

A friend of mine was here in Manila for a vacation, so we had our get together dinner before she went back to her flight attendant job. We decided to eat at California Pizza Kitchen, also famous for the abbreviation of CPK.

There are only few people eating before we came compared to Chili's which is only beside them. As all of us is a fan of pizza and pasta, we give this a try.

We ordered The Works since this was their best-seller pizza according to the waitress. We just ordered a small one since we want to taste more on what they have to offer. There's nothing special with this pizza, it is the same taste with the usual pizza. It just had the black olives for an added taste.

We ordered another pizza, the Buffalo Chicken because we are really dead hungry that time because we already arrived there past the dinner time. This is not a usual pizza flavour since it has carrots, celery and chicken for the toppings but the ingredients is not enough for its price. This is the actual product compared to what is presented in their menu, which is disappointing.

I forgot the name of this dish but it was like a pansit canton because of its lime. Not the usual red or white sauce, but it was different indeed.

I ordered this Pesto Cream Penne because of its one ingredient, the sun-dried tomatoes. I have tried sun-dried tomatoes before and I really really loved the taste of it. The sauce was bland but it compliments with the salty taste of the sun-dried tomatoes. The taste of this was good too.

To have a red sauce, we had Tomato Basil Spaghettini. I love the taste of tomatoes in this one, not that sweet and not that sour. The sauce and noodles are great in combination.

Well in short, we still left the restaurant full and just enough to satisfy our hunger. c",)
