Revisiting CamSur!

After 8 hours of traveling by bus via Philtranco Bus, me and my officemates reached Naga. However, there's already an ordinance not allowing any bus to enter the plaza starting at 6am so we just went down at a gasoline station and be fetched by the caretaker of our manager's husband. They have their ancestral house here so we agreed to spend our long weekend in CamSur.

We noticed this sign along the roads of CamSur. I didn't knew that there's already an issue going in on in CamSur because of its booming tourism. According to the some locals here, political parties were having a clash to separate the province of CamSur into two because the current governor here seems like to own some islands for its own gain, specifically the Caramoan islands, which was made famous because of the Survivor series. It started last July this year and according to the news 'they want to divide the province so that it the other half could focus more in its booming tourist industry and the other for its agriculture side. Let's just wait for the further developments of this issue but the locals here would probably will have their last say.

Back to the long weekend visit, we just took a rest from the long journey and set our foot to the CWC for some picture taking only. Too bad no one wants to try the wakeboarding and with so limited time, we had to come back to the house for lunch.

I just took some photos of the some riders, although I already tried this in Lago De Oro, I still wanted to try doing this in CamSur. There were only few riders this day unlike when I last visited the place last year during summer time with all the foreigners and locals queuing just to have the thrill of the ride.

They had a good deal here don't they? Just get a good seat sale too. Forgot to mention, the place was had a free WiFi.

The Lago Del Rey was still there with fewer swimmers. Just took some photos here again and back to the house for lunch. I was really hoping that we will be back here during the duration of our stay in CamSur but unfortunately, we didn't.

For our second day, we are heading the beach. Our original plan was to go to Caramoan since it is already open to the public but with budget and time constraints, it didn't pushed through. I'm still hoping to go there someday. Plan B was the Atulayan Island, good thing we went here to compare it from last year but this time, we only stayed at the side of the island and not at the back where fewer people go and more private it was.

We got a cottage for PhP 300, not bad for a group of 15. The waters were still crystal clear but since we stayed at the side of the island, the shallow waters were limited unlike the waters from the back of the island where shallow waters could still be walkable from a wider and longer distance. Wonder if there are changes, yes there is but not at the waters but from the postcard like view of the mountains. See the line at the center of the mountain? They already built a road across the mountain, which is not visibly available last year. Is is a good or bad thing happened? c",)
