Vigan's Empanada

One of the unique food in Ilocos is their empanada. I already tried the empanada in Laoag, which is color orange and it is already available in malls of Manila. The taste was also different because of the filling inside.

The Vigan's Empanda was in pale yellow color. The filling includes ground pork, chopped cabbage and raw egg. It is also usually dressed with vinegar like in Laoag. It was a local snack in Vigan and it is available at the side street of the town's plaza. Each empanda costs PhP 30 but it is also available in a smaller size.

I could say that I'm a bit more fan of the Laoag's empanada than the Vigan's because Laoog's empanada complements with the vinegar than with Vigan's.

Another snack that is available is the "Okoy" which is more gratifying than the empanada. c",)
