Grandpa's Inn, Vigan

My sister is having a vacation here in Manila and planned to have a family getaway to Vigan. We stayed at the  Grandpa's Inn, which is a vintage house that is turned into a hotel by its owners. Although the original colors of the exterior of the house was not preserved, the interiors were and the things that comes with it inside.




The place was I think made famous by the celebrities and politicians who stayed or had eaten there as a proof, they have their celebrity wall. Beside the celebrity wall was also the history of the house and its owners.


This window with two chairs facing each other is a classic feature of the old houses here in Vigan, where two people would exchange conversations here and relax while having a view from the outside through the window.


Kalesa-style beds (Php 2,680) gave me goosebumps because it was like a hearse from the old times but they had a great concept though. We got a dormitory type rooms that is good for 8 persons, it has 4 double deck wooden beds for Php Php 4,480 but we have to add Php 360 for another person.


The second floor had a spacious living room where people would flock for their gatherings, meetings and celebrations during their time.


Vintage things from the past were displayed everywhere, which people who visited the place had a good time for photo opt.


A stay here at the Grandpa's Inn includes a complimentary breakfast from Kusina Felicitas, one of their restaurants besides Uno Grille and Cafe Uno. Although you may have breakfast here if you are from another hotel. Their breakfast meals 'tapsilog style' are worth Php 95 each and comes with coffee or tea.

Their shower rooms had their own hot water so you don't have to battle the cold water during the morning. They have free wifi too. The staff here were also friendly and accommodating. They also respond right away if you are booking thru email. They could also arrange city tours for you and suggest other places to see and visit. c",)
