Newport City, Pasay City


The Newport City is a newly developed property in Pasay City just across the NAIA Terminal 3. It is a 25-hectare property which will be developed by Megaworld Corporation into residential resorts and commercial venues.

I used to eat this Fig Newtons back when I was a kid. It was a snack that could be found in my grandparent's house. Usually it was sent to them by my relatives who lives in the USA. But after my grandfather died, I didn't saw this anymore. It was not available locally in the Philippines but it is known worldwide.

Mercado, Resorts World Manila

The newest buzz around the metro was the buffet offerings of Mercado at the newly opened Resorts World in Pasay City near the NAIA Terminal 3. The restaurant is located at the back part of the Resorts World and you have to enter and pass by the 360 degrees Bar and the casino itself.

Paramore Live in Manila!

Another foreign rock band will invade Manila soon and this time it's the American alternative rock band Paramore. The band was formed in Franklin, Tennessee in 2004.

Its members are Hayley Williams, Josh Farro, Jeremy Davis, Zac Farro, and Taylor York. They have 3 albums titled "All We Know Is Falling", which was their debut album, "Riot!" and "Brand New Eyes".

Oishi: Gourmet Picks Potato Chips (Wasabi & Nori Flavor)

Previously Oishi had a wasabi flavored potato chips but it was not that famous during that time and it was phased out in the market. After 2 months of not visiting the supermarket, I was intrigued by the new potato chips that Oishi is selling, it was called the Gourmet Picks Potato Chips. There are three flavors available, the Wasabi & Nori, Natural Sea Salt and the Kimchi Flavor. Later did I know that it was already in the market as early as the first quarter of the year. Its packaging was as big as the Lay's Potato Chips and they are not available in small packaging.

World Pyro Olympics 2009!

Christmas is fast approaching and everyone is busy preparing for this event once a year even though our country faced numerous storms and floods for the past months. Filipinos are known to be happy people even though many trials and hardships are being given to us as a challenge and a part of life. There are still great things to be thankful for in spite of everything that happened this year.

Greenhills Christmas Tiangge 2009!

Yesterday, I went to Greenhills Shopping Center and there's no tiangge yet but after 2 days I went back there and the tiangge was already all over the place. I didn't know that the tiangge in Greenhills is not that available throughout the year or maybe just almost. Although the mall itself was open and the restaurants are in business too.

Documentary: Coming to the City

I came across this documentary when I was searching for a film to watch. This documentary shows four people from four different continents from which they have decided to move from their rural places to try the urban life. They were followed from their first arrival up to the first 6 months of their journey.
