Marlin Beach Resort, Bantayan Island, Cebu

Marlin Beach Resort is just one of the white sand beach resorts that could be found in the island of Bantayan, specifically at the town of Sta Fe. It is just a few kilometers from the Bantayan Island Pier. Land transfers are courtesy of the resort from and to the pier and/or from Cebu to Hagnayan.

The resort is owned by a Filipina whose husband is from Germany. It has fan rooms, air-conditioned rooms with or without balcony and a single detached nipa hut near the dining area. The fan rooms doesn't have any television sets, while the air-conditioned rooms have it plus a mini refrigerator. You could visit their website for the room rates.

It has its own restaurant and bar. The rent for their grilling area is PHP 200 per use, which was previously for free. You could bring your own food as a guest of the resort.

Dining area

Swimming in the area is at your own risk since they don't have any lifeguards around and the water is just too shallow but the place is secured.

The management is planning to build a swimming pool here near the beach shore.

There are also nipa umbrellas for rent for PHP 500 per use inclusive of the two(2) adjustable sunbathing chair.

There are also water activities that you could do at the resort like kayaking, banana boating, speed boating, snorkeling, etc. But they are more expensive than other beach resorts in the Philippines.

The resort doesn't have any videoke machines but you could rent a whole machine at your own expense.

There are some stores, food stalls, churches and a little market place that are walkable from the resort.

You could reach the Bantayan Island town proper by riding a jeepney tricycle within 15 to 20 minutes. This is where the market, plaza, and the 400 year old church is located.

You could visit their website on http://www.marlin-bantayan.com c",)
