Boating at Taal Lake

View of the lake from Tagaytay

Tagaytay is one of the nearest out-of -town places closest to the busy and noisy streets of Metro Manila. There are new restaurants that occupy the cliffs of Tagaytay like the Bag of Beans, Taj of Tagaytay, T House, Mano's Greek Taverna, Cliffhouse, Hawaiian Barbeque and Sonya's Garden to name a few.

You could also taste the famous bulalo here while enjoying the cool fresh air. You could buy some fresh flowers or ride a horse. The newest feature of the Picnic Grove is the Tagaytay Zipline.

View of the Taal Volcano from the boat

You could also see people at the main road flashing "boat ride." I think it costs as low as PHP 1,000 to PHP 2,500 per boat depending on the person who is offering it so better canvas for the more cheaper ones.

Beside the Taal Volcano

You will be riding the boat from the town of Talisay, Batangas which is a zigzag route from the main road. There is an alternative route from the Star Tollway. The boat ride will bring you to the Taal Volcano Island where you could swim if you want.

Lakeside(full of garbage)

But I warn you because it is not that clean anymore unlike the first time I went there years ago.

Settlers

The based of the volcano was already flocked by some fishermen unlike before.

You could also rent a horse going to the crater of another volcano near it. The water in the lake is color green and it full of weeds. There are also fish pens located near the shore. However, there are gossips that the local government is getting rid of the fish pens one by one. c",)
