Man-made Forest, Bohol

After seeing the tarsiers, we are headed to the Chocolate Hills. But before you could reach the Chocolate Hills in Carmen, you will be passing through a forest which is made mainly of Mahogany trees. The forest was a two kilometer journey which could be found in the jurisdiction of the towns of Loboc and Bilar.

According to our guide, these trees were planted since Ferdinand Marcos's presidency to prevent landslides and to help preserve the environment. Since then it became one of Bohol's protected area and tourist attraction.

You will obviously notice this part of the road since the usual sunlight from the forest will be dark, cooler air, the creepy feeling and you will also notice trees that are uniformly standing up. Some trekking inclined enthusiasts could benefit from this tourist attraction and for nature lovers as well. c",)
