Corniche

A friend of mine was in town for her 12-day vacation in the Philippines so I suggested to have a late night dinner buffet at Corniche. I have to call for reservations since they could only accommodate 180 people per night. But when I called, the lady told me that the slot for June 10 was already full but I was persistent since my friend was already leaving the country next week so I placed my reservations for 6 on the wait list and I was 2nd in line.
On the day of June 10, I called Corniche early in the morning to confirm my reservations and lucky for me, I got the slot at the very last minute. Thank God because I didn't had any plan B for the evening.

So we came in exactly 10pm, gave the vouchers but not yet allowed to enter Corniche since there are still people eating their dinner ahead of time. As soon as we got the go signal to enter, we directly proceed to our table and go the buffet table.

Shiny shimmering silver metal birds dominates the ceiling of the buffet table. The place was jump-packed, good thing they only accommodate 180 people.

This was like the appetizer side, which has pita wraps and mini sandwiches with toppings.

The salad and bread section combined.

Plate 1: The salad and appetizer plate, consists of the mini sandwiches with different toppings like tuna, veggies and meat, coleslaw like salad, potato salad, noodle salad and veggie pita wraps.

The pita wraps are heavy but good especially the one with veggies because it tasted like grilled or smoked veggies. The coleslaw-like salad tasted like the salad of Krazy Garlik. The potato salad and tuna sandwich were so yummy too.

The pizza and quiche section.

Plate 2: Salad pizza, vegetable tempura, Pork Teppanyaki Udon with rice, chicken skin, smoked bacon and caramelized onion quiche, broccoli and cheddar cheese quiche. The teppanyaki was delicious plus the mixed veggies tempura. The chicken skin was addictive but the salad pizza and quiche was so so.

Plate 3: "Singapore rice", sotanghon noodles, baked macaroni salad, potato deep dish, veggie pizza. The rice was great and the macaroni will crave you for more the veggie pizza was so appetizing!

These are the plates of my friends, overload!

The pasta section is like make you own pasta, choose your noodles, pasta sauce and toppings and it will be cooked right in front of you.

My friends tried the pasta but they said, the white sauce makes them feel already full, better choose the red sauce instead.

Our table is full of plates with overloaded food, we tried to get all we want before munching it in altogether.

The dessert section; this is only a part of the dessert section because there are more cakes, fruits and pastries at the other side of this table. We already stock on dessert since our friend told us that it will be gone later if we didn't saved something for us. Well, its true indeed.

Plate 4: The mousse plate. pineapple mousse, strawberry mousse, fruit salad mousse, taro mousse, cheese tart, maja blanca. The pineapple mousse was so sour but the rest was good but not that great. The maja blanca stands out from the rest.

Plate 5: The cake and fruit plate, melon, pineapple chunks, different kinds of chocolate cakes, taro chiffon cake and roll. One of the chocolate cakes really stands out among the rest of the cakes. The rest are plainly flavored only. Fruits will always be fruits.

My seatmate's dessert plate.

As usual, I got this Late-Night Buffet discounted promo from Ensogo. For only Php 344 from its original price of Php 688. Not bad eh? Drinks are not included so we opted to get service water. And since everyone was present in our dinner, the treat is on me! Burp! c",)
