Foodtrip at Midnight Mercato

The Midnight Mercato was a food bazaar every Friday and Saturday night, 10pm to 3am. It was just opened this year although it is called Mercato Centrale, which is a organic market or a weekend market in the morning during Saturday and Sunday, 7am to 2pm. It was originally located at the back of the Spa along 30th Street corner 9th Street. However, they relocated this March to the corner of 8th & 34th Street near the MC Home Depot.

Here's what to expect:

Mini-cup cakes are available here Baked by Anita, unfortunately, we haven't tried it ever since.

Organic flavored nachos with different kind of native dips like dulog or native salsa.

Chilled taho with choice of the classic syrup or add ons like fruits for PhP 45 and up depending on the size and add ons.

If you want something unusual, you may try this stall which offers donut burger. They are using Krispy Kreme classic doughnuts instead of the usual burger buns.

And this is their version of cheese sticks. I though these were chili cheese sticks but not.

If you crave for the foods that only appears during the Christmas season like the bibingka and the puto bumbong, you may buy it here!

Special Bibingka (PhP 60)

Puto Bumbong (PhP 35)

This is a home-made burger. However, burgers still tastes like burgers.

Since they promote organic foods here, yogurts are also for sale and this is a different one from the ones you buy from the groceries, wondering why it is because it was made thicker than ever and it is freshly made from a farm.

These pastries sells like pancakes. However, when you try it there's nothing special on them.

The carrot cake was good but I've tasted more yummier carrot cake than this.

This is a buy one, take one sausage from the same stall which sells the pastries. I wonder why these sausages are sold as a buy one take one for that fact that they are not the only one selling sausages here.

These are mini tacos, which is PhP 60 per tray, they tasted like the usual tacos the only difference is that they are small and the mayo makes you feel fed up already, good thing they are only 6 pieces per tray. Good for sharing!

The famous Creme Brulee for us because it was really appetizing and the taste was you'll crave for more until it was gone. After eating this we are laughing all night, we wonder what's with this mysterious Creme Brulee?

This stall really sells a lot than the other stalls. At first, I wonder people flock and wait for their chickens to be fried but when I saw the word 'double deep fried', the first thing that came to my mind was 'Bon Chon' because they also promote double deep fried chicken. Since I've already tasted 'Bon Chon' chicken. I gave this one a try to compare which is better.

And oh my these chicken wings and thighs were better and cheaper than Bon Chon's. It was really more flavourful and addictive.

So we ordered 2 more packs and even the one for take-out was eaten on the spot. If you eat more, you'll notice that it was deliciously salty.

I forgot to take a picture of the Hapadog, which is a Japanese inspired hot dog on a bun with a twist of nori, raddish or wasabi depending on your order but it is worth mentioning.

There are a lot more foods like the lugaw, goto, bachoy, grilled pork, kebabs, shawarma, lechon, pasta, pizza, baked potatoes, paella, cakes, pastries, nuts and many other viands. c",)
