SM City Calamba

The latest addition to the mall collection of the business tycoon Henry Sy is the newly opened SM City Calamba. It was opened last October 2010 with the cinema building still in progress.

Unlike the common or usual color of SM malls, this mall was so brightly colored from the outside, their ceilings, beams and walls.

The only common thing was the stores, which was the same with the stores in Manila but this one is spacious like the one in SM Makati.

The stairs are modernly designed and lit.

There are still vacant slots for business and for booth type business. The supermarket and department store are found side by side unlike the usual supermarket at the building A and the department store at building B.

As you could see the cinema building is still under construction and since there are no entertainment area where the meet and greet or other mall shows happen at the main building, it might be placed on the cinema building as well.

The foodcourt is located at the 3rd level near the Ace Hardware which has an amazing view.

The second level and the third level had an amazing view of Mount Makiling. The car park is also located at the back of the mall where the jeepney and tricycle terminal is also located.

According to my relatives, SM only leases the lot where this SM was built... c",)
