Ayala Triangle Gardens: The Symphony of Lights 2010

This is the newly revitalized Ayala Triangle Gardens, which is located at the Central Business District of Makati City. The Ayala Avenue, Makati Avenue and Paseo De Roxas borders this garden which was the former runway of Nielson Airport. The lot has only 4 buildings, which are the Tower 1, Philippine Stock Exchange, the Makati Stock Exchange and the other building was the tower of Nielson Airport, which was converted into a library, now Filipinas Heritage Library.

Before, this garden was just like a forest because of its many huge trees and its really scary to kill time here because it was really too dark but the place was full of security guards and is passable from Ayala Avenue to Paseo De Roxas and vice versa.

Last 2009, it was rejuvenated into a more walkable park rather than preserving its forest-feel ambiance. I wonder what did they do with the other trees here because it seems like they removed some trees to improve the view of the area and built some establishments at the back of the Filipinas Heritage Library.

This is The Ayala Triangle Gardens: The Symphony of Lights 2010 featuring the use of parol, which is sponsored by Philips. There are approximately 300,000 LED lights are used for this show. The place was like enchanted and imagined the lights as fairies or fire flies glowing together.

The Symphony of Lights 2010 started last November 17, 2010 around 6pm and would last until December 23, 2010. The show starts at 6pm everyday including weekends and repeated every 30 minutes until 8pm.

This was the view from the water fountain, where the bigger than life Belen is showcased. You can't see the lights below the trees but you could view all the hanging light from here. You might like to watch it 2 or 3 times in different location for a different view.

This was this year's life-sized belen right in-front of the Philippine Stock Exchange, placed just above the fountain. Every year different life-sized belen is showcased here.

Here's the complete video of the lights:

The show starts with the use of the laser lights plus the effect of the fog machine then proceeds to the tree by tree parts then surprising you to a brilliant display of lights!

Here is the schedule of events at the Ayala Triangle Garden:

If you want to go here, just walk from Greenbelt 4 and take the underpass. If you want to park your car near the vicinity, park your car beside the Filipinas Heritage Library at the Gabriela Silang Carpark, Php 45 for first 2 hours (pricey huh?) or the underground car park after a right turn from Ayala Avenue to Paseo De Roxas.

I think the "simbang gabi" here will be so nice since it will be colder in December and you are just near your working place if you are just living or working in the business district. c",)
