Solenad, Nuvali

Nuvali is the new development of Ayala Land at the South of Manila. It is almost a 2 hectare land property, which is a former sugar plantation owned by the Yulo's. My relatives used to live here since they worked for the Yulo's before. They described this land as a peaceful and wealthy land where everything was provided by the Yulo's, whereas they have their own cinemas and recreation facilities within the compound but gone are the good days because of certain changes of time.

Ayala Land almost bought the whole property for its planned urban development and Nuvali was born. It is promoted at the next green living destination both for residential and commercial investors. Although more plans were still at the works, commercial space like Solenad were opened to the public for activity, fun and recreational activities.

This is the part of Nuvali for recreational activities like feeding the fish, jogging, biking, picnic, sports and even bird-watching. You may also freshly pick some vegetables from their organic farm. We were also on the look out for the news that there will be a wake-boarding like facility and ziplines to be constructed soon. There are even fields for tennis, football, baseball and beach volleyball here.

You may wan to rent a bike for Php 60 per hour by just presenting a valid ID and sign a waiver. Although you are only allowed to ride if you only wear shoes.

Fish food are for sale for Php 15 per pack and the feeding time is from 8am to 5pm only.

You may also ride a taxi boat going to the fields for Php 30 per head round trip.

Parked here are the rented bikes near the dock where you could feed the fish from the lake.

Personally, I have never seen too much fishes other than this! The good thing is that you may feed them but the downside of this is that they are already too many and that they only swim in one place where people could feed them. Other fishes were already like jumping from the water just for the food that we called it a suicide attempt.

Here's the docking area for the taxi boat.

Dining facilities are also available in Solenad but they are scattered in different buildings making it hard to stroll during rainy days, although there's a lot of open spaces for the public.

If you brought your own bikes, you may park them at the designated parking areas like this for free, just be sure to have your own chain locks.

*A flea market was also placed near the parking area. Solenad 2 is already open across the street where other shopping and restaurant merchants are showcased. A grocery and a hardware store is also available. A terminal station going and leaving this place was also built here.
