Acaci

It was a rainy night when our scheduled dinner buffet took place at Acaci, Acacia Hotel Manila's own buffet restaurant. Acacia Hotel Manila was the newest hotel in Alabang, which opened its doors last October 2011. This dinner was my Mother's Day celebration with my family!

The hotel's lobby had a high ceiling like the other hotels in the metro. A king-like chairs were showcased at The Lobby, which is a dining restaurant where you could just chill, have coffee or dine from morning till midnight. Those chairs were really relaxing!

Acaci was located at the second floor and could be accessed through the hidden stairs or you could use the elevators at the back of the elevators serving the basement parking. It doesn't have any reception area to welcome its diners but you may approach one of their staffs to assist you and they are gladly to help.

Our vouchers includes one round of drinks with a choice of iced tea or their signature Pandan drink. Everyone of us chose the Pandan and we really enjoyed every single drop of it. It was awesome!

Appetizers, cold cuts, sushi and salads were located at the first buffet table.

Chicken Liver Pate

Zucchini and Peaches

Shrimp with Pineapple Salsa

Simply served and presented Acaci style, the Shrimp with Pineapple Salsa was tangy!

Pumpkin soup for starters

Plate 1: I jumped right away for the viands and rice because I was really hungry and didn't had my lunch for this buffet. From top: I got Yangchow rice, plain rice, roasted beef, roasted lamb, sisig, roasted pork, Paella and salmon.

The side buffet table serves breads, different kinds of cheese, nuts and dried fruits. You may also reheat the breads from their bread heater.

Plate 2: I just wanted to taste their bread, cheese and some of their spreads. I got this white loaf, Pesto, Tapenade, Sundried Tomato, Edam and blue cheese.

They also have six different kinds of salad already prepared, which may vary everyday.

Together with the cold cuts table was their cold cooked shrimps and some cooked delicacies over vinegar.

Plate 3: The salad plate. I tried everything and they have all different distinctive taste!

The Mongolian Station, where everything is raw then mixed and cooked together, so limited ingredients. Didn't tried it though because there were already other Mongolian like restaurants within Manila.

The rotisserie, where it shares table with the pasta section

Plate 4: I just wanted to taste some Puttanesca so I got just a small serving, even the ingredients for the sauce were grind into small pieces yet the flavor was not compromised.

And to end the buffet of course the desserts were the last thing you'll ever eat. There's the chocolate fountain, different cakes and pastries, fruits, make your own halo-halo and some ice cream.

To end my gluttony experience, I had my last plate!

Overall, its a quite good stay after all everyone's not just after the ambiance but of course for the food and the service they provide. I think its a bit pricey compared to the other hotels, which also have buffets but I think its already the norm when it comes to hotel buffets, its just a battle for flavor anyway.

From the usual buffet price of Php 988, I only got our buffet for Php 699. Thanks to Cash Cash Pinoy's promo! I also bought and used my 3 more vouchers with my friends. c",)
