Bangkok: Amarin Plaza
The Amarin Plaza is one of the malls in Bangkok, near the Pratunam area. It was like a museum from the outside because of its stylish exterior and huge pillars. It was a five- storey building but people doesn't frequent the place maybe because of its posh-like environment, style and approach. I'm not sure if the stores here are branded but I think it is.
Bangkok: Wat Tri Mit Wit Thayaram
Wat Tri Mit Wit Thayaram is one of the famous temple here in Bangkok, oh well almost all of the temples in Bangkok are famous and they are everywhere literally. This temple was made with solid white marble and gold. It was like a palace rather than a temple because of its marvelous structure.
Here is the break down list of its architectural parts and design. Upon entering, you may get a shoe bag from the rack because you have to leave your foot wear at the door before entering the Golden Buddha statue then return the bag when you are done.
These are intricate designs, which could be found at the side of the 3 level. These are made from brass and it is huge! There is also a museum located here but we aren't sure if there's a separate fee for that.
Lady monks are also seen here, where they worship and say their prayers. They were like the ones seen from the movies, which could fly because of their powers.
Bangkok: Wat Arun
Wat Arun is one of the most visited temple in Bangkok because of its proximity to the other temples and it is located at the Chao Phraya River, closer to the city centre. You could go here by riding a ferry from the Grand Palace.
Upon arriving, doves would welcome you, which you could also feed for 10 Baht per bag of feeds. We are also surprised by the big cat fishes on the river. I think they are also catching the bird feeds.
The plaza is free to roam around, just don't take pictures with the pop-out-your-head board because doing so would cost you 50 Baht when using it. There are also costume per rent for picture purposes.
The entrance fee for Wat Arun is 50 Baht when you will enter the gate proper or if you want to climb up.
From afar, it seems that is was only small but when you walk through the gates, it was really huge! We haven't got a chance to go up because it started raining really hard on the day we went there.
The design was so intricate and really extravagant. They see to it that the temple was kept clean and even the details are preserve like it was newly made.
At the back of Wat Arun are the funeral place where people could attend to the wake of a dead person. According to our tour guide, the bodies are burned by the river after this.
If you want snacks within the area, there is this noodle cart beside the Wat Arun, which costs 35 Baht per order. Above is a noodles with fish toppings and below is with the fried chicken toppings. Beverages here are quite expensive for 30 Baht per can of softdrinks, tea or water.
