FamilyMart in Manila!

Just read the news that FamilyMart from Japan will be invading Manila soon but got a glimpse on one of its stores that is already open. It has the same concept of a 24/7 mini shop, just like the famous 711 and Ministop but this one is brought up by the Ayala's and more clean and tidy looking store or maybe its just new with its sliding entrance doors and polo barong uniformed security guard.

Causeway Seafood Restaurant

It's a weekend and just went to the Food Bazaar at the NBC Tent but didn't make it on time but ended up entering for free although we have complimentary tickets care of an acquaintance which is selling his cupcakes and pastries there. Haven't had dinner yet, we decided if we are going to eat at PF Chang's which is a walking distance from the tent but my friend suggested to eat at Causeway Seafood Restaurant all the way to Banawe in Quezon City because of the price drop of dim sums here starting at 9pm until closing everyday.

Hong Kong: Apple Store

A part of my itinerary here in Hong Kong was to buy an iPod touch since I lost mine back at home and I still dont't know where I missed placed it. I knew that buying here from Apple is cheaper by 5 thousan pesos compared to Philippine stores. There are only three official Apple shops here in Hong Kong, one is at the Festive Walk, another is located at the Causeway Bay and the third one is here at the ifc mall near the Central and Hong Kong MTR.

The ifc mall was hidden through the buildings surrounding it, good thing that I asked some security from the MTR to where the mall is located.

The shop was located at the back of the mall, almost near the sea view already but had a good and spacious spot.

Upon entering, you'll be welcomed by their friendly and so accommodating staff dressed in red shirts because of the holiday season. Not only locals visit their shop, there were also a handful of foreigners who are also buying here for a cheaper deal. Their space is spacious enough that they also have a second floor for which they held their product tutorials and products accessories.

I was also amazed when I already had decided on what will get because they only check the availability of the products through their iPhones and while paying, details were also entered on their modified iPhone, then the receipt just came out of the printer and then the purchased is done instantly.

I was torn between the red iPod touch which is already the 5th generation iPod and the new iPad with Retina Display. I liked the iPod touch because of its size and color but I also wanted the iPad for the wider screen.

First, I bought this 64gb limited edition red 5th generation iPod touch for only around PhP 17,000.00 (estimated HKD to PHP), which is PhP 5,000.00 cheaper if I bought this in the Philippines.

I was supposed to be satisfied with what I already bought but my brother wants to buy the same unit that I bought so I decided to get an iPad instead and gave the iPod touch that I already bought to my brother. I got the 32gb iPad with Retina Display for around PhP 21,000.00 (estimated HKD to PHP), cheaper again by PhP 5,000.00 compared to their price in the Philippines.

I paid those products using my credit card. I was planning to have it through an installment basis but the only card they accept for installment was HSBC. I saved PhP 10,000.00 for the two items and I'm planning to go back here soon for their next products in line! c",)
